Tonsley ‘Factory of the Future’ Opening

It was a milestone moment for mass timber in Australia as Tonsley Technical College officially opened recently. The building features NeXTimber® cross laminated timber (CLT) manufactured locally at our Tarpeena, South Australia facility. Purpose‑built to train the next generation of technicians, tradespeople and innovators, the College demonstrates the benefits of engineered timber in modern construction.

We were proud to have Simon Angove, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, and Jeremy Church, General Manager – NeXTimber, attend the opening, showcasing the importance of mass timber and supporting local manufacturing, regional jobs and responsibly sourced Australian timber.
